Up at 3:00am one morning, waders on and all… on my way to the Dartmouth River.Once out the driveway, I realize my hot flies were at the office. I drive to the office and pressed my 4 digit code to stop the alarm system and walk in.There you go, a few steps in the office and the alarm is screaming all over town at 3:15am.Me in my waders!!! This is not happening!!! The police were busy on a call and not showing up, I locked the doors and went fishing. I arrive at the parking space in Sector 2, Dartmouth (alone in the dark) and a car shows up. I‘m a little jumpy (This guy is going to think I’m crazy alone in the woods so early.) So I kept a low profile and started walking down the path to the pool, with him behind me. My plan was to have first cast at the Ladder Pool. Suddenly I screamed so loud…the guys jumped and said, “S….!! what did you see??!! I did not want to turn around to show my face, I said welll errrrr a frog jumped in front of me. The guy said, Am I ever glad it wasn’t a bear????!! :(I hurried to get away from this guy and once at Ladder pool…he says, I’ll stay here and fish with you. NO!!! I don’t want to see this guy anymore .So, I left him my favourite pool and walked down stream and spent the whole day alone fishing the same rapids hoping he would go home. Finally around 2:00pm I see him coming down towards me, Ah! No…. ( I want my Mommie!!) He says, hey Ann, so how the frog fishing???? (At that time, they did not have polarized glasses (women size)+ my waders were (king size) and I thought I was undercover!!! 🙁

Great Story Ann!
PS – when does the fly fishing start getting good up there in quebec?
I look at the water and can tell where you are. Gaspe has some of the clearest water I have ever seen. That way if I can’t catch them I can still see them and you can’t go to dinner and say there were no fish. Funny story Ann.
