Naples SNOOK! Look if you have a house in Florida you get a lot of company in the winter months. I have been entertaining people for about 6 weeks this winter. All I hear is how can we get the snook under the lights? We would go out at dark put on a micro minnow with 15 lb test . With in minute we would hook up and a few seconds we are broken off. As different friends came to visit we tried to adjust the tippet. No luck!! Finally last week I put on 30lb spider wire 12” section dark green in color. I would cast up tide ( using neural line ) count to 10 and strip… I hooked several snook , blue fish, lady fish…and a pompano. I started at 8:00 pm and I checked my watch it was 3:00am. Time flies when you are catching fish. If fishing for snook remember the spider line and let the fly sink… See ya in Florida Joe-m

I don’t care wether your likable or not, you certainly can fish!!
I live in Naples and fish for snook a lot too. I use 30 pound pink yozuri flourocarbon leader but ill have to try the spider wire. I recommend the pink flourocarbon leader though because it doesn’t leave a shadow and the fish cant see it very well. Nice snook.
