ENJOY YOURSELF, IT'S LATER THAN YOU THINK

you've worked hard for many years
you're always on the go
you never take a minute off
your too busy making dough

some day you say you'll have your fun
when you're a millionaire
imagine all the fun you'll have
in your rocking chair

the years go by as quickly as a wink
enjoy yourself, it's later than you think

you're going to take that fishing trip
next year for sure you'll make that trip
you'll really get around
but how far can you get
should you be six feet underground

your dream of dream has been to be
a truly great success
you've worked and worked day after day
but shouldn't you confess
that none of this has given you
the happiness you crave
without knowing it you've just become a slave

the stress and strife that worried me
i lost them yesterday
fishing on sebago lake
God's great gift to man

i dropped a line into the lake
where trout and salmon swim
and all the din of daily life
was far away and dim

the tensions and anxieties
i let them float away
and basked in the enjoyment of
this God given day

so come with me my friend
out to the waters broad
and share the joy and peace i find
out on the lake with God

take time, take time to love
don't sell your soul to GOLD
