Great Balls of Bait! Under the lights at Doctors Pass the jacks were slamming, bait flying out of the water. Bait fisherman catching fish every other cast. Not the fly guy! I tried to make the long cast across the pass No LUCK!! “Give it up Mr. LL BEAN” the boys said… Every dog has his day… As the jacks passed and the bait action slowed the snook started to feed on the balls of bait under the lights. Well now it‘s Mr. Bean’s turn! The boys and their bait tried to interest the sly snook but! Several casts of shrimp, pin fish, sand fleas nothing. I put on my trusty all silver micro minnow. First cast into the bait ball and Mr. LL was hooked up. Just a small 30inch Fish! Less than 5 minutes later same light same bait ball and bang another 30+ inch fish. Well Mr. LL Bean fly guy proved to out fish the live baiters for Snook this night. Maybe I can’t cast across a 300’ pass but I can fool the King of the pass( Mr. Snook) with a small micro fly. See ya under the lights Joe-m
